The Wise Tortoise and the Birds

By Lord Raiden Mar 13, 2024

In the heart of the vast savannah, there lived a wise old tortoise named Tendaji. Tendaji had seen many seasons come and go, and his shell bore the marks of countless adventures.

One day, a group of birds approached Tendaji seeking advice on how to choose a wise leader for their flock. The tortoise pondered and then proposed a contest. He told the birds to collect seeds and plant them, and the one whose tree grew the tallest would be their leader.

The birds eagerly flew off, but the clever tortoise had planted a seed that grew into a robust tree. When the birds returned with their small plants, Tendaji’s tree stood tall and strong. The birds, realizing the wisdom of the tortoise, appointed him as their leader. From that day on, they learned the value of wisdom over appearances and strength.
